About us

The Help is Here Foundation Ghana was founded in 2013 in Accra, Ghana, by Cannizzarra Tee-Lard. After a few smaller projects, the organization was officially registered in 2015 and has since been run as a non-profit association in Ghana. Canni's primary motivation for founding the association was to sustainably support the children and young people of her home community in Labadi, Accra, with small initiatives to give them a perspective for a better future. Since then, the organization has continued to develop and the projects are increasingly extending to other regions in Ghana. To ensure that donations reach the children directly and in a targeted manner, Canni always makes sure to keep administrative costs as low as possible.

For several years now, we have been supporting Canni and her association. We are united by a long-standing friendship with Canni, our love for Ghana, which has grown through personal stays, and our unbridled desire to make a contribution to giving children in Ghana a hopeful and equal future. In 2021, we decided to pool our support and founded the sister association "Help is Here for Ghana e.V."; in Germany, which is recognized as a non-profit organization.
